8 Ways to prevent cancer & be healthy

8 Ways to prevent cancer & be healthy - It’s probably not something you think about every day, whether or not the foods you are eating could contain carcinogens, but with almost 1.5 million people diagnosed with some type of cancer just last year, perhaps it’s time to look at what is in our foods that could be causing such a huge number of new cancer patients. Here is a list of the top 16 foods that you most likely consume every day that may contain carcinogens or be suspected of causing cancer

good fruit to stop constipation, fruit to stop world hunger, fruit to stop diarrhea, fruit to stop bloating, fruit to stop coughing, fruit to stop diabetes, fruit to stop cramps.

1..Garlic - The World Health Organization advises adding about a clove a day to foods; it may lower your risk of colon, stomach and breast cancers.

2. Grains - All prepackaged bread, cereal, flour and pasta in the U.S. contains folic acid, which wards off birth defects and can lower your risk of colon cancer.

3. Soda Pop - Perhaps you heard about the recent study that was published in May in the American Journal of Nutrition? It found that people who consumed more than one soda per day had a higher risk of stroke than people who did not drink sodas.
Loaded with sugar, sodas are an empty source of calories that cause weight gain and contribute to the nationwide epidemic of obesity. Drinking large amounts of this rapidly digested sugar causes your blood sugar to spike which can lead to both inflammation and insulin resistance. Soda is often the root cause of gastro-esophageal reflux disease, which is when the contents of the stomach leak into the esophagus causing not only pain but an actual burning of the esophagus from stomach acid.

4.. Soursop Fruit (Graviola) - This tropical, spiny green “superfruit” is a prized species of the Annona plant genus. It boasts a dense array of phytonutrients and antioxidants that studies show are highly effective at destroying cancer cells and warding off chronic disease. Soursop is rich in B vitamins, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and iron.

Annona muricata is known to help prevent infections, minimize inflammation, protect eyesight, and quell digestive upset, among many other beneficial uses in maintaining health.

Where soursop really shines, though, is in the cancer department. Peer-reviewed science suggests that the flesh of this Central and South American staple fruit helps suppress oncogenes. These, due to their expression in both cell and animal models of cancer, are commonly referred to as “cancer-causing genes.” A 2011 study published in the journal Nutrition and Cancer found that an oncogene known as epidermal growth factor receptor, or EGFR, that’s commonly over-expressed in breast cancer is an ideal target for treatment with soursop.

5: Gardenia Fruit (Zhi Zi) - The Nutritional Oncology Research Institute (NORI) has developed a unique approach to treating cancer that involves consuming a methionine-restricted, selenium-rich diet that essentially starves cancer cells of the nutrients they need to live. This was done while also bombarding the cancer cells with so much oxidative stress that they commit suicide through apoptosis.

The NORI Protocol involves eating lots of fruit while avoiding most other foods, as well as consuming non-toxic, chemotherapeutic substances at various intervals. And one of the fruits the protocol focuses on most is gardenia fruit, or zhi zi. This fruit contains abundant amounts of a compound known as genipin that’s been scientifically shown to trigger apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells by generating excess reactive oxygen species,

6. Camu Camu - The world’s richest source of natural vitamin C, camu camu (Myrciaria dubia) is a powerhouse of anti-aging and anti-cancer nutrition. A wild feature that grows all along the banks of the Amazon River in South America, camu camu is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory “superfood.” Studies have shown is effective in combating a host of chronic illnesses, including cancer.

Inflammation-associated conditions ranging from inflammatory bowel disease and type-2 diabetes to Alzheimer’s disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) have all been studied in association with camu camu treatment. And this has been done with great success. Many types of cancer have also responded positively to supplementation with camu camu, which is easily purchased in either capsule or powder form.

Since it’s an anti-mutagenic fruit, camu camu prevents the types of genetic mutations in the body that lead to cancer tumors. Camu camu is also hepatoprotective, meaning it protects the liver against the potentially cancer-causing effects of chronic toxicity and toxin overload.

7. Grapefruit - Vitamin C — an antioxidant found in many fruits and vegetables such as grapefruit, oranges, bell peppers, and broccoli — helps to prevent the formation of cancer-causing nitrogen compounds. Diets high in vitamin C have been linked to a reduced risk of cancers of the stomach, colon, esophagus, bladder, breast, and cervix. These results are specific to vitamin C-rich foods, rather than supplements, which seem less reliable. So be sure to pile fruits and veggies on your plate – they’re excellent for your body in so many ways!

8. Pomegranates
 - Pomegranates are chock full of ellagic acid — the latest phytonutrient to enter the scene (although it’s been quietly hanging out in berries, nuts, and pomegranates for millennia). In laboratory and animal studies, ellagic acid has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth and deactivate cancer-causing compounds. To take advantage of these health properties, incorporate pomegranate seeds into smoothies or use them to top off a bowl of yogurt or cereal. Other foods rich in ellagic acid include raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, walnuts, pecans, cranberries, and grapes (red, black, purple).
